Cornelius is a beautiful lakeside community of some 20,000 residents that has a reputation for a delightful blend of old and new. The downtown area has been renovated in recent years and offers a variety of shops and restaurants. This community prides itself on its abundance of recreational opportunities, clean environment and excellent school system. This town is located approximately 15 miles north of Charlotte along I-77.

Cornelius' natural beauty can be found all across town.  It's been here for hundreds of years which is reflected in its homes and neighborhoods. Residents here enjoy boating on the beautiful waters of Lake Norman, shopping in the area's many shopping centers, and worshipping at the  numerous churches the community offers. 

The real estate market is made up of an array of architectural home styles such as ranch, Tudor, Georgian, transitional and traditional. Condominiums and townhouses can be found ranging in price from just under $100,000 to $300,000 and more for waterfront locations. Single-family properties begin at about $125,000 and run up to $3 million plus for large estate homes, offering acreage with waterfront  and spectacular views of the lake. Farm and ranch properties are also available as parcels of land for custom building.
